Astronergy Co-sponsors Dutch Open Solarboat Challenge with MarEtec

Astronergy announced a joint corporate sponsorship of the 2011 Dutch Open Solarboat Challenge with solar project developer MarEtec, donating 300 high-efficiency monocrystalline solar modules for the event. This competition has allowed Astronergy to bring its brand to a new level internationally, increasing awareness of renewable energy and contributing to the investment and use of renewable energy technology.

The competition took place from June 29 to July 2 of 2011, on the waterways between Flanders, Belgium and Zeeland, Netherlands, with teams from more than 40 countries navigating their way through a course dotted with scenic bridges, piers, and the scenic landscapes of the historical Dutch countryside. As a main sponsor, Astronergy’s panels and logo were showcased from start to finish.

The race was organized not only for the competition to promote solar technology, but also to allow people, particularly today’s youth, to better understand the possibilities of renewable energy applications as traditional energy methods become more scarce.
