Milan, Italy | October 16, 2026
Astronergy has successfully concluded its participation in Energyear Italia 2026, held in Milan from October 13 to 15 at UNAHOTELS Expo Fiera Milano.
As a partner of the event, Astronergy took the opportunity to connect with customers, engage with industry professionals and exchange perspectives on the challenges and opportunities shaping Italy's evolving renewable energy market.
Over the three days, the event provided a valuable setting for discussion, networking and knowledge sharing, reinforcing the importance of collaboration in advancing the energy transition and supporting the long-term success of solar projects.
Energyear Italia 2026: A Meeting Point for the Renewable Energy Industry
Now in its sixth edition, Energyear Italia expanded to three days for the first time, bringing together more than 1,200 professionals, over 120 speakers and more than 100 partners, with more than 20 thematic roundtables.
The event addressed key developments across the energy sector, including renewable energy, battery energy storage systems (BESS), Corporate Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs), emerging electricity demand, merchant revenue strategies, electricity market cannibalization, ancillary services, solar PV, agrivoltaics and wind power.
These discussions offered an opportunity to explore market trends, share industry insights and exchange views on the strategies needed to strengthen project performance and accelerate renewable energy deployment.
For Astronergy, Energyear Italia was an important occasion to meet existing customers and industry partners, develop new connections and discuss how technology providers could contribute to the long-term value, reliability and bankability of renewable energy projects.
The event also provided an opportunity to introduce the BESS solutions offered by CHINT Power Systems, Astronergy’s sister company within CHINT Group, and also a manufacturer of battery energy storage systems for residential, commercial and industrial (C&I), and utility-scale applications. As customer needs increasingly extend beyond photovoltaic modules alone, the ability to offer complementary technologies and integrated solutions has become an important added value. Being part of the CHINT Group enables Astronergy to draw on a broader portfolio of solar and energy storage products, helping customers identify solutions tailored to their project requirements while supporting efficiency, quality and long-term performance.
Astronergy's Local Team: Connecting with Customers and Partners
Astronergy attended the event with its full local team, bringing together expertise across project sales, distributed generation and key account management, technical support and marketing.
The team included Timo Franz, Head of Project Business Europe – Sales Department, alongside Project Business Europe Sales Directors Marina Neskreptova and Ornella Forte, Michelle Meng, Country Manager DG Business Italy, Anna Wang, Key Account Sales Manager; Ibrahim Desouky, Global Technical Key Account Manager; and Susanna Travaglio, Marketing Executive for Southern Europe.
Throughout the event, the team welcomed numerous guests and engaged in constructive conversations with customers, partners and other industry stakeholders. These exchanges created opportunities to strengthen established relationships, gain further insight into market needs and explore new areas of collaboration.
The discussions also reinforced Astronergy's commitment to maintaining a strong local presence in Italy, combining international experience with close customer engagement and dedicated support for the market.
Beyond Equipment: Creating Value Through Performance, Bankability and Project Execution
One of the highlights of Astronergy’s participation was Ibrahim Desouky’s speech at a panel discussion on “Beyond Equipment: How Technology Partners Create Value Through Performance, Bankability and Project Execution.”
The panel provided a valuable opportunity to discuss how the role of a solar technology partner extends well beyond the supply of photovoltaic modules. In an increasingly competitive and sophisticated energy market, project success depends on a broader set of factors, including reliable performance, financial confidence, technical expertise and effective project execution.
The discussion highlighted the importance of building long-term partnerships based on trust, transparency and a shared commitment to project outcomes. It also provided a platform to exchange perspectives on the expectations of developers, investors and other stakeholders across the renewable energy value chain.
For Astronergy, these topics reflect the principles that guide its approach to customer relationships: delivering reliable technology while working closely with partners to address evolving market requirements and create sustainable, long-term value.
Bankability, Innovation and Global Expertise: The Foundations of Astronergy's Approach
As part of the CHINT Group, Astronergy combines the strength of an established industrial group with a global presence, experienced professionals and substantial investment in research and development (R&D).
These capabilities support the company's focus on technological innovation, product reliability and long-term customer value. Bankability, technical expertise and a strong understanding of project requirements remain central to Astronergy's role as a strategic partner for customers throughout the development of their solar projects.
The conversations held at Energyear Italia further emphasized the importance of these factors in building confidence across the renewable energy sector. As project requirements continue to evolve, technology providers must demonstrate not only the quality of their products, but also the expertise, resources and commitment needed to support customers over the long term.
This long-term perspective also shapes Astronergy's approach to sustainable development. Through its ESG commitments, the company seeks to align technological progress with environmental and social responsibility, reinforcing its contribution to the global energy transition.
