The installed solar PV system helps reduce the client’s reliance on grid electricity, which in South Africa is still largely carbon-intensive. By generating electricity directly from the sun, the system reduces the amount of electricity that needs to be purchased from the grid and therefore reduces the client’s indirect carbon footprint.
