At its state-of-the-art smart photovoltaic industrial park in Haining, Zhejiang Province, Astronergy, a Chint Group (hereinafter referred to as “Chint”) company, welcomed over 100 international students and business representatives for a hands-on glimpse into the future of smart manufacturing and green energy on May 27th. Themed “Network Meeting for Zhejiang Enterprises – A Closer Look at Chint Group,” the event blended technology, culture, and talent in a rare cross-border exchange designed to support China’s private sector in cultivating global-ready talent.

Co-hosted by the Hangzhou International Communication Center and the Zhejiang General Chamber of Commerce Philanthropy Committee, the gathering brought together students from Brazil, Saudi Arabia, Indonesia, and Mexico—countries where Chint has already established overseas industrial footprints. With Astronergy now operating in more than 140 countries, these markets represent not only business opportunities, but also a vital source of local insights and future workforce.

Participants toured Astronergy’s flagship manufacturing base, where digitalized production lines, AI-driven quality control, and green factory certifications are integral to daily operations. As one of China’s officially recognized “National Green Factories” and a pilot site for next-generation smart manufacturing, the Haining Base stands as a testament to China’s progress in clean tech and industrial automation.

“It's not just about exporting solar panels anymore. We're building local ecosystems, training local engineers, and integrating sustainability into every level of our global strategy,” said Haiyang Huang, EVP and CSO at Astronergy. “That journey starts with understanding and respect for local talent, for their culture, and for the unique energy needs of their regions.”

In the following roundtable session, company representatives presented Astronergy’s overseas development model, highlighting industrial demonstration zones in Brazil, Saudi Arabia, Indonesia, and Mexico. Discussions touched on topics such as ESG standards, overseas employee training systems, and the company’s efforts to localize operations by partnering with local governments, communities, and universities.

The students—many of whom are pursuing degrees in engineering, sustainability, or international business—shared thoughts on energy transition, entrepreneurship, and employment in their home countries. Some expressed interest in returning to join multinational companies like Astronergy, while others hoped to bring back insights for their local clean energy markets.

The event concluded with a collaborative Q&A and networking session, fostering connections between enterprises and international youth. For many participants, it was a first-time encounter with China's private manufacturing giants and a rare chance to interact directly with company leadership.

As China’s green energy champions continue to expand globally, events like this one help humanize globalization, turning it from a buzzword into a lived experience. For Astronergy, it’s a step forward not only in technology and expansion—but in understanding and inclusion.
