As the demand for high-performance solar solutions increases, interconnection technology has become a key differentiator in boosting efficiency and ensuring long-term reliability. Currently, there are four main ZBB technologies, including Smartwire, Dispensing, Welding + Dispensing, and ZBB + Carrier Film. While each has its unique technical advantages, they also present notable shortcomings in terms of complexity, cost, etc.

Among the technologies, Astronergy has chosen ZBB + Carrier Film technology. In this approach, 20 metal ribbons are precisely pre-fixed on the surface of ZBB cells using a low-fluidity carrier film. The process involves laying the ribbons first, applying the carrier film, and then completing the soldering alloying through a low-temperature lamination process to conduct the current.

At the core of the technology is the current collection mode, which helps improve both the efficiency and reliability. Unlike traditional interconnection technologies that guide current through busbars and ribbons, Astronergy optimizes the design of ribbons to reduce the frontal shading area of cells, optimize the current transfer path, and ultimately enhance the product’s conversion efficiency and overall performance.

This ZBB + Carrier Film technology offers four key advantages:
