During SNEC 2026, Astronergy introduced the new ASTRO N7 3.0 and ASTRO N7s 3.0 PV modules, which are built upon the company’s advanced TOPCon 5.0 cell technology, larger rectangular wafers and high-density encapsulation technology. The upgraded 3.0 Series delivers higher efficiency, greater system value, enhanced reliability and stronger adaptability across diverse application scenarios.
A key part of the upgrade is the integration of 213R wafers, enabling a larger active area and higher power output. Compared with previous generations, the active area has increased by 0.85% for ASTRO N7 3.0 and 1.1% for ASTRO N7s 3.0, allowing more sunlight to be converted into electricity within the same module footprint.
Powered by Astronergy’s latest TOPCon 5.0 cell technology, the new 3.0 Series incorporates technologies including ASP, SNOP, and Ultra-fine Grid Lines 3.0, to increase cell efficiency by approximately 0.4%, further strengthening module performance from the cell level.
Another key advancement is the adoption of high-density encapsulation technology, featuring high-density low-stress flexible interconnection. This design minimizes inactive space between cells, expands the effective power-generating area, and creates a more seamless module layout.
Beyond efficiency gains, this innovative interconnection technology enables more uniform stress distribution, reducing hidden-crack risks and strengthening long-term durability. Meanwhile, the use of 20BB technology further enhances reliability, delivering a more aesthetic appearance by removing traditional PAD points and front-side blank spaces.
The updated 3.0 Series modules also reflect Astronergy’s commitment to sustainable manufacturing. Leveraging a low-temperature production process, the updated 3.0 Series reduces energy consumption, eliminates flux usage, and achieves zero VOC emissions, lowering the carbon footprint from the very beginning of the lifecycle.
These innovations can translate directly into stronger project economics. Compared with same-size conventional SMBB modules, ASTRO N7 3.0 achieves up to a 0.9% increase in power generation efficiency while reducing Levelized Cost of Energy (LCOE) by up to 0.56%, helping project owners and investors maximize long-term returns.
For ASTRO N7s 3.0, the modules showcase outstanding reliability with better resistance against damp heat, corrosion, and salt mist environments. This makes the moules suitable for challenging climatic conditions. ASTRO N7s 3.0 also demonstrates excellent mechanical strength, withstanding loads of up to +6000 Pa on the front side and -4000 Pa on the rear side.
To provide customers with long-term confidence, ASTRO N7s 3.0 offers a 25-year product warranty, with first-year degradation limited to no more than 1% and annual degradation controlled at no more than 0.4%.
Designed for versatile applications and extreme environments, such as deserts, offshore, residential, and C&I distributed rooftops, ASTRO N7 3.0 and ASTRO N7s 3.0 perform across a wide range of applications and operating conditions, bringing higher returns for global customers.
As global demand for clean energy continues to grow, Astronergy remains focused on advancing solar technology innovation and delivering high-performance PV products that contribute to accelerating the energy transition to a more sustainable future.
