On May 12th, a delegation from the Cambodian Ministry of Mines and Energy, led by H.E. KEO Rottanak, accompanied by Mr. Cunhui Nan, Chairman of CHINT Group, Dr. Chuan Lu, Chairman and CEO at Astronergy, and other representatives, paid a visit to Astronergy Hangzhou branch. During the visit, discussions were held focusing on fostering collaboration between the two sides to accelerate renewable energy growth in Cambodia.

As part of the Belt and Road Initiative, the economic and trade cooperation between China and Cambodia is strengthening, particularly in the electric power and energy sectors. Mr. Cunhui Nan expressed gratitude for Cambodia's support and trust, underlining Astronergy's commitment to driving the energy transition in Cambodia with cutting-edge technologies and green energy solutions.

In December 2022, Cambodia released its “Power Development Plan 2022-2024” (PDP), outlining a solar installation target of 3,155 MW by 2040. Moreover, the Cambodian Ministry of Mines and Energy published the Principles for Permitting the Use of Rooftop Solar Power in Cambodia in 2023, aiming to increase household energy generation.

This visit marked a significant milestone in deepening cooperation between Astronergy and the Cambodian government, laying a solid foundation for future partnerships in the solar energy industry.
